Customer Reviews
Good deal on a Dayton kit
I was looking to build some speakers for my home office and wanted to keep the costs down. I found a Dayton Audio bookshelf speaker kit on Parts Express and it was a really good price, especially with the free shipping offer. It saved me a fair bit compared to buying all the parts separately elsewhere. The kit came with everything, so it felt like a complete package and a worthwhile purchase.
Fast shipping, right product
Ordered a plate amplifier. Arrived quickly. It was the correct model. Works well. No problems.
Decent PA speaker kit
I ordered a PA speaker kit, specifically the Dayton Audio 15" 2-Way kit. The ordering process online was straightforward enough. Shipping took about 6 days to get to me in California, which was okay. All the components were well-packed; no damage to anything. I had a quick question about the crossover wiring, so I used their online chat. Support was helpful, answered my question within a few minutes. The sound quality once assembled is pretty good for the price. The instructions were clear, but I always wish they'd include a few more diagrams for beginners. It's a solid kit, works as expected.
Speaker wire order
I bought some 16-gauge speaker wire and a set of banana plugs. The website was easy to navigate and find what I needed. Shipping was fairly quick, arrived in about 4 days. The quality of the wire and plugs seems good, no complaints there. My only minor gripe was that the banana plugs were a little tight going into my amplifier's binding posts, but they eventually fit. Overall, a positive experience, and I'd order from them again.
Consistent service
This was my third order from Parts Express. I needed some acoustic foam for a new project. Just like my previous orders for amplifier boards and speaker drivers, everything arrived on time and was well-packaged. The product quality is always reliable. It's why I keep coming back; I know what to expect, and they consistently deliver without issues. Good place for parts.
Needed a new subwoofer
My old subwoofer died, so I was looking for a replacement. I found a Dayton Audio 10-inch subwoofer driver here. It was easy to find on the site. Shipping took a few days, probably like 4 or 5, to get to my place in Texas. Hooked it up, and it sounds good. The bass is clean, so I'm happy with it. Pretty simple process overall.

Share tips, ask questions & help fellow shoppers save more
Hey, thinking about grabbing a couple of those Dayton Audio drivers for a project. Are they pretty good quality, or should I just go with something like Monoprice for cheaper? I'm not trying to break the bank but also don't want junk.
Has anyone ever tried to return something to Parts Express? Just wondering what their policy is like if I end up ordering the wrong size parts for my setup. Is it a pain?
